The Student Solutions team assists students in obtaining an Official Enrollment Verification/Official Certification of Enrollment. This document is up-to-date information on your enrollment status and can be used to send to health insurance agencies, car insurance agencies, federal & private loan servicers, or other organizations verifying your enrollment at the University of West Georgia. In order for this document to show current enrollment, classes must have started for the semester you are registered. If classes have not started for the semester, the document will show pre-registration information for the student.
Print Request Form
Submit your request form to the Momentum Center. Processing time is 3-5 business days. There is no charge for processing.
- Print the Request for Certification of Enrollment form or pick one up at the front desk of the Momentum Center.
- Complete the Student Information section at the top of the page. (Please PRINT clearly)
- Complete the Recipient Information section
- Please choose your delivery option. You have four options for delivery of your Certification of Enrollment
- You can pick your Certification of Enrollment up in The Momentum Center 3-5 business days after you have submitted the request
- The Student Solutions team can mail your Certification of Enrollment using standard USPS mail
- The Student Solutions team can fax your Certification of Enrollment
- The Student Solutions team can email your request to a designated recipient
- Please do not forget to sign and date the form
- Lastly, submit the form in-person to the Momentum Center, fax your form to 678-839-6439, or email your request form to studentsolutions@westga.edu.
Clearinghouse Request
Order online at the National Student Clearinghouse: 3-5 business day processing
Third Parties such as Loan Servicers may also request an Official Enrollment Verification/Official Certification of Enrollment for a student with the student's permission. The third party can go to the National Student Clearinghouse or call the Clearinghouse at 703-742-4200. For questions, email service@studentclearinghouse.org. A Degree Verification certifies any earned degree(s) and the date(s) the degree(s) were awarded. Degree Verifications become available approximately 1 week after the term in which you earn your degree. Please follow the directions above for obtaining an Official Enrollment Verification/Official Certification of Enrollment to obtain your Degree Verification.

Enrollment Status for Undergraduates
Fall and Spring Semesters
- 12 hours or more are considered "full-time"
- 6-11 hours are "half-time"
- less than 6 hours are "less than half-time"
Summer Semester
- 9 hours or more are considered "full-time"
- 5-8 hours are considered "half-time"
- less than 5 hours are less than "half-time"
Enrollment Status for Graduates
Fall and Spring Semesters
- 9 hours or more are considered "full-time"
- 5-8 hours are considered "half-time"
- less than 5 hours are "less than half-time"
Summer Semester
- 6 hours or more are considered "full-time"
- 3-5 are considered "half-time"
- less than 3 hours are "less than half-time"

- Birth month and year
- Current Term Enrollment & Past Term Enrollment including Term, Term Dates, Hours Enrolled, and Full/Half/Less than Half-Time status
- Major
- Minor
- Current Classification: Senior, Junior, Sophomore, Freshman
- Student's last permanent address and phone on file with the Registrar's Office
- Expected Date of Graduation or Date of Graduation(s)

If you are currently drawing unemployment benefits and need proof of your enrollment status, please bring your unemployment verification slip you received from the Georgia Department of Labor Unemployment Office to the Momentum Center. The Student Solutions team will review your account and verify your enrollment status.
The Student Solutions team can assist students with completing their Food Stamp Verification forms received from the Division of Family and Children Services. Please submit your form to our office, and we will process the form and fax it back to the Division of Family and Children Services. Please allow 3-5 business day processing.
