Don't Cancel Class Campaign!

Planning on canceling class? Don't... If you are unable to teach a class, the Office of Career and Graduate School Connections might be able to fill in. We can present to your students on our services, major-specific topics, resume-building and more! Schedule your request today. 

Request a Presentation 

The Office of Career and Graduate School Connections team members present on a wide range of topics designed to help students enhance their career readiness skills. Great news! We now offer several of our presentations through Course Den that can be utilized in your online class! This semester, we're offering in-person and virtual options for class presentations.

Requests are granted based on availability and are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We ask that you make your request at least 10 business days prior to your desired date. Presentations can be requested between 8:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday – Thursday and 8:00 am – 5:00 pm on Fridays. For after hours or weekend presentations, please contact the Office of Career and Graduate School Connections directly. All presentations require approximately one hour of class time. We recommend you select no more than one topics per class period.

Some examples of ways we partner already include career panels and industry nights. If you have an event idea in mind that you would like to put on for students that the Office of Career and Graduate School Connections could assist with, please contact us as we'd love the opportunity to partner with you and bring new, interesting, and engaging events to students!

    Get to know Monica Smith 2017-2018 Winner
    Monica SmithAssistant Dean, Richards College of Business

    Monica Smith is the Assistant Dean for the Richards College of Business here at the University of West Georgia. She is a seasoned professor who received her Bachelor's in Finance from Valdosta State University in 1999. A West Georgia Alumni, Smith received her MBA in 2001.

    Get to know Dr. Ann McCleary 2016-2017 Winner

    Professor and Director of the Public History Center
    College of Arts and Humanities - History

    Ann McCleary is the Professor and Director of the Public History Center here at the University of West Georgia. She is a seasoned professor who received her Bachelor's in History at Occidental College in 1976, her Masters in American Civilization at Brown University in 1977, and her Doctorate's in American Civilization at Brown University in 1996.

    At the University of West Georgia she teaches an abundance of History courses, some include Studies in American Culture, History of American Architecture, and so much more. Dr. McCleary work has also been published several times. To learn more about Dr.McCleary click here
