The University of West Georgia Club Sports program is designed to provide diverse sport and athletic opportunities to current UWG students, faculty and staff members. Clubs can be competitive, recreational or instructional in nature as clubs may represent the university in intercollegiate competition or conduct intra-club activities such as practice, instruction, social, and tournament play. While club sport participation is open to students, faculty and staff, the primary philosophy of the club sports program is to be student-run, student-led. As a member of a club sport, participants will learn through their involvement about fundraising, public relations, organization, administration, budgeting, scheduling, and the development of skills in their particular sport.

Recreational Sports For All

The purpose of Competitive Sports and #PLAYWEST is to promote healthy lifestyles while also providing a structured recreational and competitive environment. Our staff is committed to fostering/developing our three core program pillars: play, inclusion, community. Whether you are looking to participate in one of our recreational leagues or for something more competitive like club sports, our program is designed to challenge or remove barriers that marginalize or limit participation. Through this, #Rec4All will fit the needs of our UWG community.
