There is no longer a set schedule of events for the June Orientation dates. Once the 10 modules of the pre-orientation are complete, watch your UWG email for virtual advising communication and invitations to live Zoom sessions.

Orientation marks the beginning of your journey as a new West Georgia Wolf.

Orientation is designed to help you settle into the university by providing you with information and resources that will fully prepare you for the start of your first semester! During Orientation, student leaders, faculty, and staff will guide you through university resources, registering for classes, and other services that will set you up for success at UWG

2020 Summer & Fall Orientation

Summer Start Orientation

Student beginning classes in summer 2020 will complete an online orientation.

Fall Start Orientation

We will be moving to a three-step system to assist all new students in transitioning to UWG successfully. Below you will find all the details to assist in your transition.

  • Register for Orientation
    Register for Orientation

Click the red "Register Now" button below to complete your orientation registration.

The date you select refers to your virtual advising day. It is on your chosen date that you will interact with your academic college, meet one-on-one with your academic advisor, and officially register for classes. An Orientation Leader will reach out to assist with all of your questions and share their experience of being a Wolf.

Note: Registration is a comprehensive fee for all three parts of the orientation process. For students who have already registered, you can log into your orientation registration and complete the first step at your convenience.

  • Part 1: Online Pre-Orientation
    Part 1: Online Orientation

Students will receive an email to UWG’s Online Orientation program. Our online experience will help you settle into the university by providing you with information and resources to prepare you for the start of your first semester adequately!

  • Part 2: Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration
Part 2: Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration

After completing the Online Orientation program, students will have a virtual academic advising appointment. Academic advisors will provide one-on-one advising and registration meetings with students for their first-semester classes. Participation in virtual advising is required. Students will have their virtual session with an advisor by the day they signed up for orientation as long as they have completed their pre-registration advising survey and Phase I.
