Below you will find the three different categories for move-in day coming this fall 2023. We are excited to have you all on campus and look forward to all we will do together this coming year. Thank you for Staying West.

Early Move-In: Group Arrivals
Saturday, July 29 - Wednesday, August 2, 2023 (based on group timelines)
This refers to group of students who require to move in early so they are able to be present for their committed activities. These could include but are not limited to Athletics, Band, Student Employment, Pack Leaders, The Village Residents, etc.
Early Move-In: Unpack the Pack Volunteers
Thursday, August 3, 2023
This refers to students who have volunteered to help serve as an
"Unpack the Pack" volunteer.
Daily Schedule:
- Move-In Day Time Slots: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Dinner on Your Own: 5:00 p.m.
- First Floor Meetings: 7:45 p.m.
- Residence Hall Programming: 9:00 p.m.
Move In Days: Unpack the Pack
Friday, August 4 & Saturday, August 5, 2023
Residents will receive time slots with assigned times.
During move-in, there will be individuals available to assist those moving in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Your Move-In Day appointment (date and time) will be sent to you via your UWG email address by July 1, along with instructions if you feel you need to change your time.
You will only be permitted two vehicles.
We discourage students from moving in outside of their assigned time slot.
We have assigned you a time slot for your move-in date and time.
Should you need to arrive early or if you need to arrive late, please email housing@westga.edu, and we will try to accommodate your request.
The housing contract has a rolling application so that you can sign at any time.
If you sign up after a specific date, you will need to report to the East Commons Housing Office before your Move-In Day appointment to receive your parking placard for your appointment time.
You are not able to change your room on Move-In Day.
If a problem arises, please find a supervisor in the building, located on the first floor near the service desk, and they will happily assist you.
