The University of West Georgia's School of Communication, Film, and Media (SCFM) is excited to host its 40th annual Media Day event this March 8 & 9. Both the School and the event are growing to meet the demand for preparing the next generation of media professionals. We would love to partner with your organization to help foster student success.

This year, as we grow our Media Day endeavors, we want to launch an effort to raise money for SCFM student success. To honor the 40th milestone of Media Day and the July 1, 2021 establishment of the SCFM, we are implementing sponsorships at the event. Various levels attached detail how your organization can partner with the School to raise funds for our experiential learning labs, student media organizations, scholarships, and more.

Our students have a history of excellence in creating and producing high-quality work. They have earned multiple regional and national honors in competitions like the Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts, College Media Association Pinnacle Awards, College Radio Day, Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Media Awards, National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition - sponsored by NBS-AERho, The National Electronic Media Association, Spirit of College Radio Awards, and more. We currently offer a Nexus degree and two bachelor's degrees; plus, we are preparing to launch a master's degree in fall 2022. Students gain practical skills on-campus with our internet radio station, television station, newspaper, and public relations firm. Now is the perfect time to partner with UWG and the SCFM to shape the future for media professionals.

Thank you for considering this exciting opportunity, and please let our event planners know if we can answer any questions you have about this new endeavor for Media Day 2022.
