Early Childhood through Secondary Education Services
Who We Are
Our 19 faculty members either specialize in specific disciplines, or in more general school functions such as classroom management and curriculum design. All programs are approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Included in our program offerings is the unique dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education. Our Secondary Master of Art in Teaching (MAT) degree offers career-changers the opportunity to earn teaching credentials along with a concentration in specific disciplines. UWG's Literacy/Reading programs are now included in the Department of Early Childhood through Secondary Education (ESE) and are dedicated to preparing educators with expertise in the latest literacy theories, research, and evidence-based instructional practices.
