The Writing Center's Online Consultations
The University Writing Center (UWC) has moved online!
Email written work that you would like help with to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will forward it to an available Consultant. We will work to get your assignment back to you as expediently as possible, but after you submit work, please allow at least 72 hours for a reply. Our Consultants are UWG professors and graduate students who are also navigating the transition to fully online instruction.
We are adhering to our traditional operating schedule, so submissions will be accepted Monday through Friday. Anything submitted over the weekend will be redirected on Monday.
When submitting an essay, please state what you are wanting a consultant to review. The UWC is an extension of the classroom, so we are here to teach students how to discover and address their problem areas, not to edit papers.
We also have a wealth of information on our website that is helpful for students wishing to brush-up on their writing skills but who don’t have a specific assignment they’re working on. If you have a question about any aspect of the writing process, always feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
We will be available for submissions until Friday, April 24, or until all the slots have filled. We will be giving updates on the status of availability for submissions through our social media accounts:

UWG Online, the University Writing Center (UWC), and the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Committee are excited to announce that Smarthinking, the 24-hour online tutoring service, is now available to all currently-enrolled students here at UWG, even students in face-to-face courses. Smarthinking is simple, fast, and always available, and students can connect to live educators from any computer that has internet access at any time, with no special software installation or equipment required.
For a student to have access to Smarthinking, faculty members must request that the service be added into their course(s) via CourseDen. Please see the following document for step-by-step instructions: Adding Smarthinking in CourseDen. Should you have additional questions regarding Smarthinking, please feel free to contact the UWG Online Help Desk, and your inquiry will be directed to the appropriate representative: firstname.lastname@example.org or (678) 839-6248.
