Amanda N. Williams is a University of West Georgia alumna who earned a BA in French from the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures at UWG and a post-graduate translation certificate from Georgia State University. She is now a French>English translator and the owner of Mirror Image Translations, LLC. She specializes in international business translation with a focus on corporate communications, regulated financial reporting and international trade. She spent six years working in multiple capacities for a large U.S. importer before becoming a full-time independent translator in 2010. She served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Association of Interpreters and Translators (AAIT) for six years, earning two achievement awards for her service. Amanda has spoken at national translation conferences and has published articles in the American Translators Association’s magazine, The Chronicle, in several AAIT newsletters, and as a guest blogger interviewed by a local translation company.
