Shadow Program
1. A number of professional schools (Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Medical, etc) now either require or strongly encourage students to gain some ‘hands-on’ experience in the career field via Internships/Shadow or similar programs prior to being accepted for admission.
2. The University of West Georgia Career Services Professional Practice Office is currently working with Tanner Health Systems to establish a formal Shadow Program. Once in place this program will allow students, interested in particular career fields, to spend a period of time in the employer’s work place. The purpose of this activity is to encourage students to explore a particular career field through direct observation in the work place so that they are in a better position to make a career decision on that field.
3. Information on how to apply for the program will be published as soon as it is available.
