Student Employment
Student Employment is directed by Audrey Baird, Assistant Director of Career Services and Nan Ballenger, Office Assistant. This office assists students and employers in meeting temporary, seasonal, and part-time employment needs. A variety of employers use these services to obtain part-time employees - from large corporations to individuals needing help babysitting and yard work.

On-Campus Student Employment Policy
The Student Employment Department at the University of West Georgia has implemented a new policy regarding on-campus employment. This policy is as follows

20 Hour Rule
- For Fall and Spring Semesters, a full-time undergraduate student may hold a maximum of two on-campus jobs, totaling no more than 20 hours per week. (Students who have FWSP money can only work 1 FWSP position and a SA position but not 2 FWSP - total of 20 hours - with 2 positions.)
- During the breaks between academic terms, and during summer term, students may hold full-time jobs on campus.
- No student employee may work in a department where he/she will be supervised by an immediate family member (defined as spouse, parent, child, sibling, in-law).

** Exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Student Employment Advisory Committee.
***To file an appeal, the "20 Hour Appeal Form" must be completed and submitted to Audrey Baird, room 359 Parker Hall.

Post a Position If you are an employer, you may post a position with Student Employment. Please fill out the form as completely as possible and hit the submit button to e-mail it to the Student Employment Office within Career Services. If you have further questions, please contact Student Employment.
Student Research Assistant Program (SRAP) The Student Employment Office also coordinates the Student Research Assistant Program (SRAP). This program allows students to gain knowledge and experience in their chosen field.
